Terms and Conditions

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms apply to every estimate, proposal, service request, online booking and job performed by Hermes Royal Inc. ("Hermes Royal," "we," "us"). By requesting service, booking online or approving an estimate, you agree to them. If your signed proposal or contract for a specific job says something different, the signed contract controls.

Who we are

Hermes Royal Inc. is a licensed and insured HVAC and home improvement contractor based in the Bronx, serving the Bronx, Manhattan and Westchester County. NYC DCWP Home Improvement Contractor License #2135618, Westchester County HIC License WC-40453-H26, EPA Certified.

Service requests and bookings

A request or online booking is not a confirmed appointment until we confirm it. Arrival times are estimates and can change because of weather, traffic, emergency calls or parts availability. We will let you know about delays.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are based on what we can see at the time of inspection and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Hidden conditions found during the work, such as code violations, damaged wiring, ductwork problems, structural issues or refrigerant leaks, may require additional work. We will not do additional work without your approval. Any diagnostic or service call fee is disclosed before the visit.

Deposits and payment

Deposits, payment schedules and amounts are set out in your proposal or contract. Deposits on home improvement contracts are handled as required by New York General Business Law, Article 36-A. Final payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Your right to cancel

For home improvement contracts covered by New York law, you may cancel within three business days of signing, as explained in your contract. After that, the cancellation terms in your contract apply, including charges for special-order equipment and work already done.

Access and approvals

Please provide safe access to the work area, equipment and utilities, and keep pets secured. You are responsible for any building, landlord, condo or co-op approvals unless we agree in writing to obtain them. Delays caused by lack of access or approvals may lead to rescheduling or added charges.

Permits

Where permits or inspections are required, they are handled as stated in your proposal or contract.

Warranty

Equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, subject to the manufacturer's registration rules and terms. Our labor warranty, if any, is stated in your proposal or contract. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, lack of maintenance, power surges, natural events or work done by others.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use, supplier or manufacturer delays, or conditions that existed before our work. Nothing here limits rights you have under New York law that cannot be waived.

Calls, texts and emails

When you give us your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about your requests, appointments, estimates, invoices and service. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. Message and data rates may apply.

Privacy

We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
